Two Brothers
Two brothers, one on the verge of success, the other engulfed in a world rid of crime
While Leo was captivated by sports, the other had indulged in drugs and theft
Their mother was in dismay when she overheard her son was trafficking drugs in the daytime
She confronted her son in an authoritative manner but could not hold it in and wept
“Get out of my house,” came chants of sorrow from their mother
Without a word he left with his belongings and eradicated sense of pride
Leo watched in reticence and prayed he would not amount to the status of their father
His brother was dauntless, but his strength receded when his emotions died
Leo was in grief and solitude when his older brother received the status of a miscreant
Their mother was exceptionally jubilant that Leo was headed to college
It appeared that his brother was envious of Leo and had a misconceived judgement
His jealousy, surpassed to a level of absurdity and was reckoned as a savage
His brother had heard constant compliments towards Leo, and his path to prosperity
He could not take it and headed towards Leo’s house with the intent of sabotage
The oppression and despondency had consumed him in a reality of misery
Three knocks, three shots, as Leo’s brother unleashed a malignant barrage
Two brothers, one promising to be incomparable to the other, murdered in despair
The other psychologically tormented of his brother’s success, took one bullet to his head
