When faced with the burden of depression, you must find the courage to move on. Depression has the ability to wear you out, if not checked. Depression is one of the most dangerous diseases, and is one of the fastest growing diseases. In the picture ” A Walk to Remember” the man appears to be depressed, also by reading the thesis statement you could conclude that the man is depressed, and is carrying some type of burden.

Depression has the ability to consume you, and turn you into a shell of your former self. In this picture I belive that the elderly man, which is the focal point, is depressed. You could infer this from the elderly man’s posture, the man is hunched over, and looks very troubled. Perhaps he had lost a very dear or loved one. Perhaps he had wandered on this very road with that loved one. The framing, which is the background around the elderly man, creates a mood which is, intense and depressing. By looking at this, you could identify that the situation is severe.  From the clothing the man is wearing, could also create an idea that he is depressed and troubled. The midnight blue color scheme, makes the picture look even more bitter. The black shading also has an affect, to make the picture serious, because the color black is more of a depressing and sad color. Their are no other people walking on that street, from which we could identify that the man want to be alone, and not disturbed.

When faced with the burden of depression, you must find the courage to move on. If you read this staement, it could help you understand the picture better or it could give a new perspective. The statement explains to us, what has happened, and what his future actions should consist of. The statement could also describe how life is a cruel thing, but teaches us to forgive and forget. Without looking at this picture, you could tell by the statement, that it’s sad and depressing, then looking at this picture you could conclude that this statement fits perfectly with this picture.

Depression is a disease that has a major impact on you as an individual, and the people around you. It could easily take over your life, if you let it. In this picture the man is certainly depressed, and the thesis statement can help you build on that idea of depression.
